The Russian Investigative Committee (IC RF) opened a criminal case after six students of one of the kindergartens in Perm were hospitalized for poisoning. This was reported by the press service of the investigative agency of the Russian Committee for Investigation of the Perm Territory.
According to investigators, cases of acute intestinal infection were recorded in kindergarten students in the Ordzhonikidze district of Perm. The children felt unwell, six students had to be hospitalized with symptoms of the disease, the Investigation Committee noted.
RT's sources at law enforcement agencies clarified that the condition of the hospitalized children is stable and two children have been diagnosed with salmonella infection. According to journalists, the primary source of infection was food – most likely, hygiene standards were not followed during preparation. The kindergarten was closed for quarantine, RT reported.
The Investigation Committee added that investigators are currently examining the scene of the incident; All necessary examinations have also been ordered, including sanitary-epidemiological and forensic examinations, and the cause of the incident is being determined.
Based on the fact of child poisoning, a criminal case was opened for violation of sanitary and epidemiological regulations leading to human poisoning.
