In the Trans-Baikal Territory, 11 carriages of a coal train derailed, the Trans-Baikal Railway (ZabZhD) reported this in telegram.
The incident occurred at 04:48 on February 5 local time (22:48 on February 4 Moscow time) on the Khilok – Gyrshelun section.
ZabZhD clarified: “There were no injuries in the incident, the clearance of the adjacent tracks was not damaged. The incident did not affect the movement of passenger trains.”
It should be noted that to overcome the consequences, rescue trains were sent to the site of the accident and a headquarters was also established to overcome the consequences of the incident. The cause of the incident is being determined.
Before that, a powerful explosion occurred on the railway line in the Tambov region. A fuel train derailed and several tanks exploded.
