47news reports that potential nine-year-old Pasha's kidnapper from St. Petersburg was detained in a neighboring area. This became known on Monday.

Journalists clarified that the arrested person is 38 years old and a resident of the village of Shcheglovo. According to 47news, this man is from Novodruzhesk, officially registered in Shcheglovo and in December last year he started working in the construction industry.
Now investigators, the publication clarifies, are finding out how the child got into a foreign car and where he is now. The same Toyota was found in a village in the Lomonosov region.
The Investigative Committee notes that a criminal case initiated under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is being investigated regarding the unexplained disappearance of the child:
– At about 2 p.m. On January 30, 2026, the child left his residence in the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg and did not return. According to the latest information, the boy got into an unidentified person's car and did not contact this person again, the agency said in a statement.
